2010 Mercedes-Benz S Class Model nomenclature

In early Mercedes-Benz history, the "S-Class" designation was used colloquially, referring to the letter "S" which designated most of the larger six-cylinder powered vehicles in the company's lineup (but not the luxurious V8-powered 600 limousine). In typical Mercedes-Benz fashion introduced in the late 1920s, the traditional designation of each car consisted of three numbers indicating engine size (up to 770 in the 1930s), and optional letters indicating either engine features ("260D" since the first Diesel of 1936) or body styles ("K" for kompressor (typically a Roots compressor) as in the 1930s 500K or 540K). After World War II, these codes were often carried over from one generation to the next.

2010 Mitsubishi Outlander view

Along with a major facelift for the 2010 model year, the top end Outlander XLS (GT in the US) introduced a new colour MFD dashboard display and the Mitsubishi S-AWC AWD system. The lower trims retain the previous MFD and the less advanced AWC AWD system. Likewise, the interior was also slightly revised to incorporate leather into the dashboard trim and doors.

The Alfa Romeo Pandion is a concept car which premiered at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show. It was designed by Stile Bertone and the main responsibility was given to Mike Robinson.

The Pandion coupé was designed as a tribute to Alfa Romeo’s one hundred year anniversary.

The Pandion is based on the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione sports car, it has an all aluminium 4.7 litre (4691 cc) (286.8 cu in) dohc 90 degree V8 engine, producing 450 PS (331 kW; 444 hp). The car kerb weight is 1,258 kg (2,773 lb) and it has top speed of 320 km/h (199 mph) and it can accelerate from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.9 seconds.

Audi Q5 Hybrid trouble

Audi was originally reported that it would offer Q5 hybrid as launch model, it was later reported that Audi suspended the plan because of unsatisfying crash test result for the nickel metal hydride batteries.

In 2009, Audi announced it would resume the Q5 hybrid development.

Production version would be on sale in 2012 for Japanese market.

Earliest (Second Hand) Movie Memory: Jaws (1975)

I'm ready to love a big summer blockbuster again. But will there be one worth loving? I worry.

It pains me to say that I don't remember my first moviegoing experience. Some people do and I'm jealous of each and every one of them. I assume it was something Disney but I've never been able to recall and my parents aren't helpful there (they're not movie people). My earliest cinematic memory is actually second hand. I was scared to death of Jaws (1975) as a little kid a full decade or so before I actually saw it. Ahhhh, irrational childhood phobias...

First Panel: Jaws' poster haunted me. Neighborhood kids fixated, snickering, on the nude swimmer. I stared in horror: How could any animal have so many teeth ?!?

Second Panel: I tried to inure myself by playing the famous theme on our piano. Nothing worked. The backyard pool became fraught with terror.

Third Panel: People blame Spielberg for creating the blockbuster filmmaking mentality. I blame him for ruining summer in the pool.

Were you scared of any movies as a kid that you didn't see until years later? I'd especially love to hear from any readers who have first memories from earlier than the mid 70s so that I don't feel so old! ;) I don't suppose TFE readers born in the 1990s have any movie fears. Don't they wean kids on slasher flicks now?
