I hope to be interviewing Alexandre Desplat shortly and thought I'd enlist your help, dear readers. I can read music and play the piano but that's about the extent of my musical ability / knowledge. What would you ask the arguably busiest film composer? He's up for an Oscar this year for Fantastic Mr. Fox (his third nomination) with a trail of brilliant scores already behind him. There's so many to love I bet none of you will have the same favorites. Mine are Birth (2004) and The Painted Veil (2006) thus far... but there's yet more to come next year.What would you ask him... and which other composers do you love?
